THERAPY ROOM COMEDY CLUB BRINGS LAUGHTER TO TUNBRIDGE WELLS
The Grey Lady, better known for jazzy music nights and delicious dining, now plays host to the monthly THERAPY ROOM COMEDY CLUB. Conceived by Stefan Fuller and Paschal Tesha of local promotion and event company, Hype Entertainment, the THERAPY ROOM COMEDY CLUB is attracting hot up-and-coming comedy talent as well as more established names.
Hot on the heels of their hugely successful debut at The Grey Lady last month, the team at Hype Entertainment continue their campaign to bring high end comedy talent to Tunbridge Wells with a second gig at THE GREY LADY on Wednesday December the 3rd. This month resident Compere Stephen Upsall welcomes Michael Fabbri, whose sharp quizzical, political and sometimes purely daft and juvenile observations on life have earned him an enviable reputation as one of the best up-and-coming acts around. Supporting Fabbri is Stephen Carlin, whose distinctive style and bizarre perspective on all things ranging from Popeye the Sailor man to Reservoir Dogs promises to bend your mind for good!
Hype’s sell out debut comedy night saw Canadian comedian Glenn Wool woo the unsuspecting crowd with his raw rock and roll style and deadpan delivery, which resulted in a thunderous applause from the audience and an encore performance. The tone for the evening was set by warm ups from talent including Lady Carol and her ukulele and local thespian turned stand up comedian Stephen Upsall whose hilarious views of life in Tunbridge Wells had the crowd in stitches.

Glenn Wool just keeps going from strength to strength and is returning to Tunbridge Wells on Thursday 9th October 2008 with his brand new show Goodbye Scars.
goodbye angel, goodbye star
goodbye feathers, goodbye scars
good buy feeling, good buy wars
good buy sweaters, good buy stores
2008 has been an interesting year for Glenn and he chronicles in this brilliant, funny and touching new show what’s happened to him over the last twelve months in an honest, frank, but always funny account of his most difficult yet at times most exhilarating year.
Glenn began his comedy career in his hometown of Vancouver in 1995. He moved to London in 1998 and quickly became one of the rising stars of the London and international comedy circuit having performed in Australia, New Zealand, The USA, South Africa, Switzerland, France, Croatia and Arabia. Glenn was nominated for Best International Stand Up at The New Zealand Comedy Awards.
Glenn is a regular TV face having made appearances on The World Stands Up for Paramount The BBC Stand Up Show, The Live Floor Show, 28 Acts in 28 Minutes and The Comic side of Seven Days for the BBC. He continues to be a regular in Comedy Cuts, the comedy show from ITV2. Last year Glenn wrote and starred in What's The Story?' broadcast on Channel 4 as part of the Comedy Lab.
Radio is familiar to Glenn too having recently been in Political Animal and 28 Acts in 28 Minutes for BBC Radio 4 as well as headlining 4 at the Store (R4) and The Late Night Comedy Show for Radio 1.
